(February 7, 2020, 8:14 pm)I have been terrified of dental work since I was a child and it was reinforced in my 20's. Recently I had an issue and really needed to see a dentist. I went here and was trying to keep a panick attack at bay (I also do not do well with medications...allergic/severe reactions.) Gotta say, Dr. Brucker-Collier spent very valuable time, not only putting me at ease; but truly listening to both my fears and medical concerns. She gave me a script for an antibiotic I knew I could tolerate, but even more importantly checked on me that evening to make sure I was fine with it. When I left that day I was actually almost looking forward to going back and having the work done! Well I have been back and had the extraction done...to say I was amazed is an understatement. While I understand things have improved in the industry nothing can replace a Dr. that can show compassion, patience, and a willingness to work "with" your fears and concerns, not make you feel like a baby, or a a bad person for "neglecting " your teeth. This extraction was pain-free, I was reassured every step of the way and if I felt I needed a breather all I needed to do was lift a hand. She spent time with me after making sure I was feeling well and once again checked on me later that evening. Can't even begin to express how much that very simple thing means to me.
