  This was my son's 1st summer camp experience & he loved it! He's 12yrs old & went to Blue Mountain Day Camp for a 2 week session this year & had a lot of fun. He played volleyball, basketball and tennis, and met a bunch of new friends during his time there. The camp was run very smoothly, with many planned activities & time outside, which is what we wanted for him. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, fun & had great attitudes. I loved getting daily emails from Carolyn, the Director, while he was in camp, so that we knew how the day went & what activities they were involved in, with pictures, too! I'm so glad we finally decided to bring him to BMDC, because I think it will be an experience that he'll never forget! Thank you!

  Nice camp if you know what you are getting, very large with lots of activities.
  
  Be aware that there are 2 types of cabins- winterized and non-winterized. Since we went in May, we had the regular cabins which weren’t insulated and didn’t have electricity (during the rainy weekend we had, the cabins were very dark, cold and some people had leaks in the roof). Cold air was coming in from all the gaps in the wooden slats and meshed windows. The website should include photos of these cabins as well as the nicer ones so people can come prepared.
  My main complaint for the camp is our cabin wasn’t clean, cobwebs and pebbles everywhere and old wrappers and acorns next to the beds and in the shelves (not to mention the graffiti on every single wooden surface). I saw one picture on their website (of the winterized cabin) and thought that’s how they’d all be. Bathroom was not attached either, and the separate bathhouse was also not insulated (mesh over the large openings, fine for hot summer months, not so much for rainy spring)
  Also, the condition of their table tennis table in the lodge is terrible, it’s warped and has a big crack.
  Positives- friendly and helpful staff, kids and adults all enjoyed the activities we managed to do.

  Every year we return ! Staff are amazing and helpful, huge selection of activities. During covid your able to do most of the outdoor activities . Plenty of water activities!
  
  Horse riding and sail boating is at a extra cost.
  
  During Covid cabins are only available and dining is outside and organized well to keep your distance from other families. Up to 10 people per cabin.

  Great location for camp. Winter camp is awesome even when it's cold. Lake is beautiful frozen over. Fun activites like candle making, rock climbing. Rifles, archery, and axe throwing were our favorite
