Fabricare Cleaners - Harry's Corner Fairfield

Since Covid started and I began working from home I have had little need for a dry cleaner.
I was at a wedding recently and had 2 formal dresses that needed cleaning and asked a neighbor who she would recommend. She recommended Fabricare Cleaners, the location at 130 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT.
The woman at the front with the big friendly smile is Tenise. What a warm welcome. I left my dresses and was planning on returning the following Thursday to pick them up. A couple of days later I got a call from Felix who said he had read the label on one of my dresses and it said NOT to dry clean it. I never knew you couldn’t dry clean something. And I NEVER would have expected someone to read the label on the dress. He suggested 2 options and I left it up to him which to use. When I went to pick up the dresses, 1 was perfect and the one. (the one that couldn’t be dry cleaned) still had a stain. Tenise said they were concerned about being too rough on the fabric. I said I couldn’t wear it with the stain so even if it got ruined, they should try whatever to get the stain out. A week later I picked up the dress - - - it is perfect !
I was also told that keeping the dresses in the plastic garment bags I was using could cause moisture inside that could make stains form on the dresses. They suggested I use fabric bags. I went online looking for them and they cost over $20 each. I was happy to find out they sell them for $3.50. One of my dresses was a little too long for the bag and Tenise gave me a hanger that kept the dress hanging just a little higher so the dress fit in the bag.
I think Fabricare may be the finest dry cleaner I have ever gone to. The wonderful people working there, the way they took care of my dresses, and the very fair prices. The store is very clean and the location is in a strip mall on Post Road in Fairfield with good parking.
I was also surprised I got an email from Vanessa, the general manager welcoming me as a new customer and thanking me for choosing Fabricare and saying, "please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concern. “ What dry cleaner or any service provider does that these days? This is a very special place and I am happy to do business with them.
