(September 16, 2022, 1:06 pm)We have used European Travel Whisperer for two previous vacation trips and are in process of booking our third. We just can't say enough good things about this company!! Virginia stuck with us through one year of medical issues and two more years of Covid before we finally got to take our second trip. ETW took care of everything for us, promptly answered all of our questions, and never failed to communicate with us. Customer service leaves nothing to be desired with ETW and we just wouldn't consider using another vacation planner for our travel needs!!

(June 11, 2019, 8:59 am)We recently returned from our 3rd tour in Europe with Virginia. We can't give European Travel Whisperer/Booked by Barthel enough accolades. Custom travel in a small group is the way to go. She assured we had all our proper documents, seamless transfers to & from hotels & excursions, professional & informative guides at each location. Itinerary app AXUS kept us on track each day allowing us to know what we were doing & when we had down time to relax & enjoy the hotel accommodations, village or city sites on our own. Mixing with locals allowed us to truly immerse ourselves in the culture. Food & wine experiences were beyond expectations. She even arranged a guide/driver to take us to our family's village to tour and walk the steps of our ancestral home. I could go on & on. "Magnificent" trips. Thank you Virginia.

(November 9, 2018, 9:51 am)I cannot begin to describe how happy and satisfied my wife and I were working with Virginia for our trip. We used Virginia for our honeymoon to Italy this past October and it was amazing. Everything was so easy to follow so that made the stress of travel nonexistent. We were fully able to enjoy ourselves and not worry about what to do and how to get around.
We knew that we wanted to go there but didn’t know anything much more than that. Our first call with Virginia, she asked all the right questions to figure out what we liked to do on vacation and really listened to our likes and dislikes. From there she planned a trip catered to our interests.
Everything from the hotels, the tours, to the travel instructions was perfect. She really went above and beyond in planning the perfect trip. She gave the best recommendations that made our international experience the best.
We to recommend anyone looking for a top notch vacation experience to use Virginia. We can’t wait to use her again for our next. Thank you again Virginia for everything you did. We both really appreciate it. -

Thanks to Virginia at Booked by Barthel for her recommendations for the cruise line which offered a land package at first class accommodations! Virginia is great to work with and has great attention to detail in setting up all aspects of this very memorable vacation! (March 14, 2017, 4:48 pm)Amazing. I loved working with Booked by Barthel. Virginia Barthel helped my husband and I plan a trip to Tahiti for our wedding and honeymoon. She worked with our budget, found us amazing deals, planned everything, and even had a gift delivered to our room on our first night of the trip. It was the best, easiest and most relaxing vacation we've ever been on.
