  I was walking around Essex this past week and shortly before leaving came upon Essex Pottery. I was immediately taken by how beautiful and unique the pottery is. The store is filled with a large variety of striking and colorful pieces. I am someone who goes to art shows often and have seen many potters’ work, and Mark’s pottery (the potter and owner of Essex Pottery) is top notch.
  Mark is extremely friendly and engaging and we talked for quite awhile. He has been a potter for many years, and you can tell by talking with him how passionate he is about his work.
  Stopping into Mark’s store was one of the highlights of my afternoon in Essex and I look forward to returning there to purchase pottery for myself and others. I highly recommend visiting Essex Pottery when you are in the area.

  This place is great! The owner and artist, Mark, is super sweet and so creative. I explained I am an artist myself, and have a friend who is a ceramicist as well, and he gave me a tour of his workshop in the store. He gave me the run down on all of his glazes, which combinations were his favorites, and helped me choose a mug as a gift for a friend. Everything in the shop was made by Mark, and it's all totally unique. He was so informative and I could tell he really enjoyed his craft. I'll definitely be back, if not for the pottery, than to say hello to Mark again!
