  Empower Martial Arts, located in Colts Neck, has played a pivotal role in my personal growth and transformation. From the moment I stepped into the dojo, I was greeted by a supportive community of dedicated instructors and fellow students. The disciplined training regimen, coupled with the principles of respect, perseverance, and self-control, has had a profound impact on my character development. Through rigorous physical training and mental focus, Empower Martial Arts has taught me the importance of discipline, determination, and resilience. The challenges and obstacles I faced on my martial arts journey have allowed me to discover my inner strength and push beyond my limits. Beyond the physical aspect, the moral teachings and emphasis on integrity, humility, and compassion have shaped me into a better person.   Sensei Omar is absolutely the best, he inspires everyone from the children to the adults in the room. He instills confidence in every single one of his students and is a highly respectable person! I knew from the day I walked into the Krav class, I would not be leaving. He constantly reminds us to keep fighting for the best versions of ourselves. He spends extra time going over things to make sure everyone understands and waits after class if anyone has questions. He’s highly experienced and knows exactly what he’s doing! I wish I had found this place earlier because it’s not just a training facility, it’s like a family. Can not speak good things of this place or recommend this place enough! Keep doing exactly what you’re doing and changing lives, what an extremely admirable place!

  My son loves EMA! The instructors do a great job of including karate skills, self discipline, and fun into every class!

  Our family has been members since 2018 bringing our two elementary age children through the programs. Sensi Omar is fantastic with the kids - keeping them motivated, focused, and challenged in a positive learning environment. Wish we had a program like the one Sensi runs when I was a kid!

  We have both our boys (ages 8&5) at EMA, and have had them both in classes for over two years. We started at the Aberdeen location, and moved to Colts Neck because it was closer to our house. We have seen both boys develop confidence and a passion for karate. They are constantly practicing their skills, and we are so impressed with how far they have come. There is constantly an opportunity for them to grow and take on more responsibility - in class and at home/school. Sensei Omar (Deshi Omar originally) is a true leader and is amazing with children. He has a passion for karate and developing strong children. They have many activities to keep the kids engaged. Both our boys play baseball, soccer, and flag football, and we still have opportunities to get them into karate every week - many different class times for all skill levels. Karate is the consistent activity throughout the year. If you have doubts or concerns, I encourage you to reach out to Sensei Omar. He will answer everything in detail, and there is zero pressure to join. I believe you can even observe/join a class to try it out. Sensei Omar instructs adult classes too. There are options/classes for all age groups. He will also go to schools to address a laundry list of topics, so for those educators looking for someone to reach out to your students, give him a call to discuss those options as well.
