Dr. Fanders and her care team is great. She is very experienced and explains all details I need to know. I have my two bunnies with edinburg animal hospital. So far we have very good experience and I would recommend to everyone who is looking for a vet.
I have SO MUCH LOVE for these guys for so many reasons. Animal lovers, feel safe bringing your furry family members here!
I love my babies deeply, and really try to get the best vets I can. I could not be more impressed with these wonderful professionals! I know that typically, if people work with animals, they are probably big hearted, but unfortunately some vet offices are poorly managed or staffed with inattentive people, as is the case with any type of business. I'm not a difficult customer, but I know a fair amount for someone who is not a trained vet or vet tech. I'm not willing to receive lackluster care, and I know it when I see it. We trust our vets to be caring for our family members who cannot speak to us to communicate symptoms; that's a huge responsibility! I've never had even a poor experience with Edinburg. They're incredibly intelligent, good at communicating and informing patients, obviously care deeply for the animals in their care, and run a very organized office. They even call to check in and see how patients are doing after a vet visit that wasn't a normal check up! They are great at managing time/appointments, yet I never feel rushed out the door either. They answer all of my questions so I really understand what's going on. They expertly balance communicating difficult news authentically, advising us of what next steps are best, and being sensitive. What really surprises me is how reasonable prices are. I'm a teacher. I don't make a lot of money. I can afford these guys. I'm so blessed to have these guys on my side!
In the 34 years I've been going here (since I was born/with our first family dog), I've only had a single appointment where we waited for service that I can recall, but this was because an emergency case came in. I'm so glad they are able to support emergency cases, and I've watched them extend the same urgency to my dogs when they've experienced emergencies! I'll always be thankful for that. That being said, I'm pretty sure we only waited for 30 extra minutes that day. That's pretty normal waiting times for poorly managed offices on a day without emergencies! So, all things considered, even that impressed me.
I can't emphasize how much I appreciate this place. We've moved for a short period of time and tried out different vets and the difference was SO noticeable. A longer drive was worth it. We went right back! Edinburg, if you read this, thank you so much for your expertise and care. I know vets and vet office staff have such an emotionally draining job, and you can NEVER hear it enough, but holy moly do we appreciate you. 💕💕 Thank you for all you do!
Our dog, a golden retriever, just turned 3 years old, and we have been visiting this facility since we got him at 8 weeks from the breeder. It has been a very pleasant experience working with the doctors and the staff here. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.
They have guided us through all the vaccinations, medical procedures, insurance coverages and also on training facilities around the area. We had a medical scare once with our pup during off-hours, and they directed us to the 24x7 Vet service in Hamilton, who were accommodating and helpful as well.
I have also setup auto-renew subscriptions with Chewy, for which they have been prompt in processing the required paperwork in a timely manner. I was recommended to this facility by my neighbor, and I am glad that I decided to go with them.
from all things exotic care for my bunny, to new puppy shots and his neuter, to an eye surgery on my cat and I have nothing but great things to say about Edinburg Animal Hospital. Lovely staff and doctors who are beyond caring, always patient and understanding. Thanks so much for all you do and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the care of all my boys!
My bunnies have been patients of Dr. Fanders here for about 2 years now. Rabbits require exotic vets who have tons of experience as they're different from dogs and cats. I was actually recommended to this place by a friend in the NJ Bunny Parent Group on Facebook. I had been going to Red Bank (a great place too), but the care was getting too expensive. So I am very grateful that Madison and Louis are able to be patients here.
It's a small business with a small staff, but you and your pet will get the attention you deserve. Just be patient, call ahead, be nice, and you'll be fine. They're now allowing one masked guest to go inside during your appointment. It was nice to see the inside! They even have a separate waiting area for exotics.
The vet is located in an older building with a quiet, woodsy, homey feel to it. There is ample parking and you just call before heading inside.
The staff is kind and helpful. My girl bunny has been getting her teeth trims here for about two years by Dr. Fanders. Dr. Fanders was able to discover the teeth issues Madison was having and sent over some photos. Poor Madison had a lesion on her tongue from pointy molars/teeth. Dr. Fanders was thorough in her explantations of everything going on so I could understand how to take care of her moving forward. Two years later, Madison is doing much better, even after her most recent visit this past Monday. She hurt her front paw and needed some medicine and rest. She also received a good combing by Dr. Fanders (bonus) and is feeling so much better. For that visit, I believe that it cost $130 including her medication. Not the cheapest, but exotic vets can cost more. They accept Care Credit if you need to stretch out the payments over 6 months which is great too.
On another visit last year, I had to bring in Sir Louis as he had chewed parts of my rubber slippers. Dr. Danielson had to see him as Dr. Fanders wasn't available. Luckily he was totally fine and I learned not to leave my slippers laying around.
I don't believe that they're accepting new patients at this time, but that could change in the future. Anyway, this is my experience and Madison & I (not sure about Louis) are very happy with them.
