  Chris Dorn is an excellent teacher. Before his lessons I could not hold a simple beat. His lessons are fun because he lets you play to music in the lesson. This method of teaching, in my opinion, is good because you get to see real examples of his teaching. Even before I stopped taking lessons, he gave me a lot of music and pointers so I could keep learning and developing my skills. That proves that he really wants to teach people how to drum

  Chris is the best drum teacher in the area. Chris is patient and will spend as much time working on something if need be. He has many different techniques that help coach the student. he lets the student work at their own pace and understands it can take longer for some students to master a particular skill. He introduces new ideas to the student to keep lessons fresh and interesting and listens to feed back from the student to tailor each lesson to the individual. Chris is able to play many different types of music witch enables him to work with anyone. if you want to learn how to play the drums in a stress free, and positive environment this is the man you need to take lessons from.

  Chris is awesome! He makes lessons fun! While he takes a technical approach to his lessons, he also takes the lead from my son's interests in music. He tailors each lesson to provide a nice balance of both. Chris sits alongside of him and interjects when technique needs attention and often plays along with him to provide further modeling. We absolutely love lessons with Chris!

  Learning with Chris has been an incredible experience. His passion is infectious and I always find myself leaving a lesson with great energy and ambition. Chris is proficient in a number of musical styles, from traditional jazz to metal to chiptune.
  A typical lesson with Chris will consist of some rudimentary techniques, some funny stories, some discussions of incredible artists and thinkers in drumming, one or two awesome play-along tracks, and the occasional fart joke.
  His studio and resources provide more than enough tools and content for each lesson: dual monitors and headphones, two drum kits, a massive collection of drumming books, etc.
  Chris has given me a totally new outlook on music. He's allowed me to grow as a musician, and during my time with him I've been fortunate enough to play shows with some of my favorite bands and experience the joy of creating music.
  He's a great instructor and a great friend. Would highly recommend lessons for anyone looking to start playing or advance their skillset.

  Chris Dorn is an excellent drum teacher. When I started taking lessons with him, I was a beginner and didn't have much experience. Within a few months, I was playing a whole bunch of songs that I loved as well as writing my own music. He really breaks down everything really well for you and also makes it fun by having a good sense of humor. I highly recommend that anyone who is new to drums, get lessons with Chris Dorn!
