(June 30, 2023, 11:35 am)Mike does an above and beyond job with my kids. After going through a couple drum instructors in the past, we are so happy to have found Mike, someone who is great with kids and who has years of experience and knowledge.
He has a spacious open setup rather than the tight corners my kids were accustomed to in the past. Mike has a friendly cute dog and even an outdoor fish pond he let's my kids feed! -

(June 29, 2023, 10:38 pm)Both my boys, ages 7 and 8, have been going to Mike Killela for drums lessons for over a year now. Mike has great energy about him and he works really well with my boys. He is always showering them with words of encouragement and praise. My boys are really shy but they have grown comfortable learning from the best drums teacher there is. I highly recommend Mike Killela. He is fantastic with my kids and my boys have improved a lot playing the drums in the past year. Thank you, Mike and Kathy!

(June 27, 2023, 2:00 pm)I am an adult student and also a teacher. I know that a good teacher builds on your strengths, guides you outside of your comfort zone, and praises improvement. Mike relates the drills back to the student’s stated goals and helps them to see how other drummers have used these drills to find massive success. He keeps it fun and challenging. These are just some of the reasons I recommend Mike to anyone looking to learn any style of drumming.

(December 3, 2022, 2:34 pm)I took drum lessons with Mike for about a year. I’m an adult student with a busy work and family schedule. Twenty some years had passed since I last played the drums and I wanted to get back behind the kit. My experience with Mike was fantastic. Mike made the whole process fun. He understood that my lifestyle was not conducive to daily practicing, and he adapted the curriculum accordingly. He tailored the lessons to my abilities as well as my musical interest. He has a way of pushing you beyond your comfort level without you realizing it. My playing improved significantly. Prior to meeting Mike, I lacked the confidence to play with a band. Mike changed that. Because of Mike, I am now looking to get into a performance situation. Mike is a wonderful human being. He not only cares about your drumming, he also takes an interest in your life. Whether it is working on hand technique, fills, or advice about a career change, Mike was always eager to help. I always looked forward to my lesson each week. Highly recommended.

In the beginning, we thought he just wanted to give it a try for a little while but he started taking very seriously and Mike has been able to keep him motivated. We are amazed at his progress. He says he has lots of fun in every class.
Mike is a very professional, kind, patient and fun instructor. We are so happy to have found him
