(January 23, 2023, 12:06 pm)Like the former Woodbridge location, this is an absolutely phenomenal place. The food here is amazing - also like I said in the Woodbridge location review, *please* bottle up the Voodoo sauce and sell it elsewhere; both variants of the Voodoo sauce we had were so good, the garlic & chives of the shrimp variant had a nice tang and the chicken variant's sweetness was like a warm childhood blanket you hadn't felt in years on your tongue - and the server Roberto was the best waiter I feel we'll ever have.
My sole complaint is the mixed feelings I have with the atmosphere. It has the makings of the "Asian" part of the "Asian Fusion" subtitle with the stonework and fish tanks and the hibachi grill close to the back, but the rainbow lights on some of the pillars and the music on the overhead radio don't gel with everything else - the radio especially with cuts like Jackson 5's "ABC" and Edwin Starr's "War". They're good songs, of course, but not what I wish to hear in a place like this. Play into the "Asian Fusion" subtitle more with either Asian music (I feel some city-pop cuts from the likes of the titans of the genre Tatsuro Yamashita and his wife Mariya Takeuchi would work best (Ride On Time from the former is always a certified banger), but you *could* also pull from K-Pop if you wish - the only good song I know from that scene is "Any song" by ZICO), Fusion jazz (Pat Methany Group, Miles Davis, Yellowjackets, etc. Methany I only know via "Last Train Home", Yellowjackets' self-titled album is a bonafide classic, and you can start anywhere with Miles Davis), or actual Fusion jazz from Asian artists (CASIOPEA and Masayoshi Takanaka are *must* plays if you go this route! "Make Up City" and "An Insatiable High" are the perfect places to start with each artist respectively). As for the lights, either tone them down as to not cycle through colors as fast (make it more subtle and easy on the eyes) or keep them at a more solid color (maybe cycle through light yellows and oranges to simulate a flame?)
Beyond that, still a stellar restaurant all around. Will definitely be returning once the smokehouse pot returns to the menu from the Woodbridge location! -

(November 2, 2022, 11:17 am)Love love this dish- it is filled with flavour if you love a little bit of sweet, salty and tons of garlic. The seafood is very fresh and the shrimps are super big. Had a few dishes from there but this dish I highly recommended. Must try don't forget the rice.

Hope one makes it's way to Fort Worth Texas... fingers crossed!!! Darrion Alford excellent choice for entertaining and impressing people! In the photos, our drinks we got them to go they DID NOT come in plastic cups 😂
