  Dr. Val Prokurat fixed a high hurtle hernia on my mom who is 91. He saved her life. He’s awesome. He’s the best.

  I had hernia surgery performed by Dr Prokurat last Thursday, 9/5/19. He did a phenomenal job with the surgery. I was very impressed that he called my mother immediately after the surgery to give her an update. In addition, Dr Prokurat called the nurses station twice in the hours after the surgery to check up on me. He not only is a top notch surgeon, but he is very smart, informative, and he genuinely cares about you as a patient. I give him 5 stars, and would highly recommend him if you are in need of hernia surgery.

  Dr Prokurat is truly one of a kind.
  He saved my dad's life twice.
  First time in 2011 we came to ER with what turned to be Gallbladder stones and Doctor was on call surgeon.
  Second time, recently, my dad had to have hemicolectomy to remove cancerous tumor. When we found out that Dr. Prokurat is available and will perform the surgery, somehow i knew that my dad will be fine. Doctor explained the procedure, took time to answer all questions and the stress of upcoming journey and unpleasant diagnosis went away. While in hospital, doctor visited dad daily- early mornings, midday in surgery scrubs, late nights. Always honest, full of empathy, never rushed. Helped with many more small hiccups that were coming up during recovery.
  His office personnel (which i found, very important) also very nice and helpful.
  Highly recommend. Brilliant surgeon, and most importantly compassionate human being.

  Dr. Prokurat is definitely one of a kind! I have never met a more caring doctor and wish there were more like him. No matter what was going on, he always made sure to explain everything to me and feel comfortable. Would highly recommend him!

  We lucked out as Dr. Prokurat was the on-call the night my mother needed emergency surgery. He has been supportive, caring and compassionate throughout the surgery and recovery.
