(January 21, 2021, 1:30 pm)Dr. Nicolai is an exceptional chiropractor and a lucky addition to the healing community for the Hudson Valley area. He is sensitive and attentive to the needs of patients.
Before the actual adjustment patients will use either the traction table, physical therapy stretches, or electro-stim TENS machine to bring information to the pain area and allow for relaxation of the muscles before the adjustment of the bones. Dr. Nicolai checks on you during the warm up and will change the settings for comfort.
My pain problem involves needing my neck cracked and that takes a lot of trust. Dr. Nicolai is very gentle and never forces anything. Sometimes he has to play the kid photographer and says things like "think about your right knee" just as he cracks my neck which is really helpful in relaxing for me.
I've always left his office leaving better than when I arrived and happily recommend him to friends and the community at large for muso-skeletal pain management.
