I have to be thorough when it pertains to my vision care and always make an appointment to get them checked out right after my yearly eye exam.
Dr. Kotlyar could not be more profesional when explaining anything new he notices on my occular photos. I have had 2 in office procedures and both times he calmed my nerves and explained everything he would be doing and what it might feel like..i.e. pressure, a little burning etc..He makes you feel super comfortable and taken care of.
I would highly reccomend VRMNJ if you're in need of a Retina specialist..The practice and staff are exceptional!
The office is very organized - appointments are kept on time. You are not sitting in the waiting room for any extended period of time. Once you get in - there are 1 or 2 checks by the various assistants who prepare all the results for Dr. Kotlyar who then checks your eyes and summarizes everything. We are very impressed with the whole process. Dr. Kotlyar is very confident in how he performs his work. He performed surgery on my detached retina and i am doing very well. I highly recommend Dr. Boleslav Kotlyar for any eye surgeries your might need.
We went to see this specialist due to an urgent matter. My father’s regular eye doctor recommended us to go here since they did take our insurance. Once we got there, the front desk was very pleasant! She didn’t introduce herself and I forgot ask for a name but she was very nice to us and it was our first time there so first impressions always matter. After the new patient forms, we didn’t have to wait long to be seen by the MA, he was also very nice and pleasant with my father and I. He explained what was going to happen and took the time to take a good patient history of my father. Dr. Coady, was very nice and attentive since my father’s case was urgent. I appreciate that, since we were the last ones in the office, he did take the extra time with my father due to his medical history which is really nice to see. Not a lot of doctors do that anymore. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
And also!! It’s a plus, that this office does have Spanish speaking staff. Even Dr. Coady was able to communicate with my father with his learned Spanish.
The staff are amazing...very caring. I was nervous my first visit because of macular degeneration. Dr. Kotylar explains the procedure and I was relaxed during first injection. I just finished 11th injection and now visits are two months apart. My vision has not changed...meaning the fluid behind my eye is neither worse nor better and I am happy with the results! My eye doctor caught this in time and referred me to Dr. Kotylar. I would emphatically recommend Dr. Kotylar for your serious vision needs. JD
Dr Kotlyar is an outstanding Retina specialist. He explains everything and answers your questions and concerns. He schedules follow-up appointments with you on the day of your exam. The staff is very friendly and caring. I recommend him highly.
