(August 10, 2023, 2:51 pm)If you’re looking for quality flight training, beautiful & well-maintained planes, and knowledgeable instructors, all at an affordable rate, Double R Flight Academy is the place for you. Their fleet of Cessna 172’s is the nicest you’ll find in the area, equipped with beautiful glass panel avionics, and always kept exceptionally clean. The instructors are all extremely knowledgeable and each use their respective backgrounds & passions to assist in their instruction. They also were incredibly accommodating of my schedule and desires; even when my schedule changed or the weather got in the way, they always did everything they could to allow me to achieve my goals in the timeframe I desired. Pennridge is a great airport to train out of, with a large runway and relatively low level of traffic, as well as being centrally located to many different types of airports and airspace which makes for efficient training flights.
Thanks to Double R Flight Academy, I recently passed my Private Pilot Checkride and am already planning on starting my instrument training with them soon. Would highly recommend Double R Flight Academy to everyone and anyone who is looking to join the aviation community or advance their abilities with an additional rating or license! -

(August 9, 2023, 11:32 am)I came to Double R with no aeronautical experience. They helped me with obtaining my PPL in time to go away to college where I will be pursuing a degree in aviation. Wyatt was my main flight instructor and always went above and beyond to help me reach all my goals. Royce and Nick were also great resources to have when I needed it. I highly recommend Double R and their instructors to anyone, regardless of personal flight experience. I can not thank them enough.

(July 18, 2023, 4:18 am)Recently completed a BFR with Double R. The fleet of Cessna 172s is well maintained and well equipped. Instruction is top notch. Rates are reasonable. Pennridge Airport is a great place to learn.

(February 10, 2023, 8:58 pm)I’m a 121 pilot at a major airline who rents with Double R so that I can keep my foot in GA. Double R is great. The instruction is great. The planes are unmatched in the rental GA market. Royce is putting forth such a wonderful product (both instructors and aircraft). 10/10. Definitely recommend.

(October 22, 2022, 10:32 am)Current Air Force pilot here who’s also flown a lot of GA aircraft (pipers, Cessna’s, etc). The quality of training and aircraft here are top notch. I’d highly recommend all pilots—regardless of skill level to come here for all of their rental/instructional needs. 10/10!
