DeBruce Education Camp

  I grew up going to DeBruce from the age of 10, I was a camper for 4 years, a volunteer for 4, and then staff.
  The camps do an amazing job of introducing kids to the outdoors in all aspects be it education, hiking, camping, leave-no-trace, hunter education, the list goes on. I can’t recommend it enough.
  Camp DeBruce and the DEC camps program has changed my life. It sparked a love for the outdoors in me that I cary to this day.

  I went here as a kid back in the late '60s early '70s. It was one of the best experiences I had as a child. I learned so much: hunter safety, fly tying and fishing, the hatchery and shocking the stream for species count with the DEC. An amazing experience that shouldn't be missed. I still fly fish today.

  I have been camper of the week and got the Debrucity award. I had SO MUCH FUN at this camp. I love this camp. I recommend this to everyone.

  Since this review was originally written I also got the chance to serve as a Volunteer for 4 years. This Camp made me the person I am today. It gave me the courage to be myself, and gave me my love for the environment that has encouraged me to get my degree.
  
  I unfortunately have not had the chance to serve on staff, with the camp season being cancelled the past two years, but I look forward to hopefully being able to serve as a Counselor this year.
