  I've suffered from chronic constipation for most of my 62 years. I have seen doctors and specialists from New York to Boston. Despite following all their recommendations, including a no wheat, high fiber, low processed food diet, with plenty of water and exercise, and all manner of herbal remedies, I have struggled to be regular. Until I began Pelvic Floor Therapy with Dr. Sabina Busby. There's a whole beautiful system of muscles and nerves that keep the bowels moving and somehow they forget how to coordinate so that the right ones are relaxing while others are working. Sabina did a very thorough take in evaluation and understood precisely what I needed and proceeded to teach me to retrain my muscles. In my case the results were rather fast and I quickly got into a proper routine and "process of elimination". I am very impressed with her knowledge and intuition. I'm whistling Dixie these days. I can very enthusiastically recommend Dr. Sabina Busby. She's a superstar in my book.

  As I was being discharged post-surgery, my urologist again stressed the importance of working with a physical therapist who specialized in pelvic floor reconstructionion.
  
  “Ya right,” I thought, “good luck to me, I live in Salisbury, CT. I guarantee the nearest qualifier is going to be at least an hour away”
  
  Imagine my surprise when I found Danika’s less than twenty minutes away. Not only do they provide the exact treatment I required, but my therapist, Sabina Busby got her doctorate in it! Her partner (and mother) also has a DPT.
  
  While I’m grateful for the knowledge and skill of my surgeon, I can honestly say my recovery would not have been as successful without Dr. Busby.
  
  To start, their location is exactly what you’d imagine a place of healing and therapy should look like. Every detail - from the Danielle Mailer art on the wall, to sun splashed studio space - promotes healing and relaxation.
  
  This is my first experience with a physical therapist. If you have never seen one, it is one of the healthiest things I’ve ever done. Sessions were driven by goal setting and conversation. The longer sessions provide/ ample opportunities to get any questions answered as we complete targeted exercises. Dr. Busby is also an excellent story teller, and the healing was accompanied by a lot of laughter.
  
  We’re lucky to have Danika’s in the neighborhood. I’m grateful 🙂

  Both Bente and Sabina are detail oriented professionals who care about their patients and bring a wealth of knowledge to their practice. Bente helped me with my PT after a shoulder surgery. With her help, I was able to get back to playing competitive tennis again and regain my shoulder flexibility and strength.
  
  Bente has a great understanding of body movement. As part of my treatment program, she helped me learn exercises to enhance my core flexibility, ultimately offloading pressure from my shoulder. I got more benefit from a few sessions with Bente than years of pre-surgery PT at HSS in New York. I continue to go back to her and Sabina whenever my shoulder flares up or if something else is bothering me. I trust Sabina and Bente and would highly recommend either professional for anyone who is looking for the highest quality PT treatment!

  I fractured my tibia this summer and couldn’t return home to Brooklyn. Sabina was a source of great comfort during my recovery, and I looked forward to our appointments. She helped me regain mobility in my knee through massage and exercise during office appointments and the home exercise routines she provided. She suggested inexpensive tools to help with the swelling in my limb and foot and also gave me hope that things would eventually get better. Finally, she provided me with techniques that enabled me to comfortably use stairs, which enabled me to return home. I highly recommend Danica.

  I have nothing but high praise for Bente and Sabina. They spend considerable time testing to determine the problem and then develop very targeted therapy and follow-up. They are both extraordinarily knowledge and patient. I also took tai chi classes with Bente. She is a wonderful teacher, and is so supportive of her students. Danica Center is the best. We are so very fortunate to have it located nearby.

Dr. Bente Dahl-Busby opened Danica Center for Physiotherapy, Pilates and Tai Chi, in September of 2015. Prior to the start of Danica, she was a co-owner of NordiCare Physical Therapy for over 22 years. Bente's experience as a physical therapist originated in her homeland, Denmark, where she trained and graduated in 1985.
