Tamara has been an amazing mentor as I begin the process of starting my own styling business. When I shared with Tamara some of my dreams she immediately took me under her wing and helped me through the process of starting my own LLC and guiding me to make sure everything was correct. She also has been an amazing help teaching me how to set prices and has invited me to go to fashion week with her. I cannot thank her enough and I will continue working with her and will forever be indebted to her. Thanks Tam!

Tamara far exceeded any expectations I had for creating a mini makeover and styling day. Her ability to know what works best on your body type as well as her gift of restyling the same outfit in several ways had me excited to try on things, not full of dread like I do when I shop!! The variety of styles, colors and textures in the boutique are not only aesthetically pleasing, they offer options for everyone. Tam has truly created a one-of-a-kind styling experience!

And let me not fail to mention, she also has a partnership with a makeup artist (Roberto) who I was able to schedule for the same day. What he did for my face was unreal!!! It was not over done and he used all the natural colors that I love but in ways I never thought to use. I certainly recommend this entire experience for anyone who needs a little change or boost of confidence.

I have been a client of Tamara for 20 years, starting from when she first had a boutique on Pearl Street in Hartford back in the early 2000’s. I can wholeheartedly say that not only does she have fabulous taste, but she has the unique ability to empower women through fashion – something you don’t often come across. For her, it’s not just about “making a sale”, she truly wants you to feel good in what you are wearing; I can somewhat jokingly say that she won’t let you buy anything unless you absolutely love it ;)

Many of the clothing items I bought from her 20 years ago are still hanging in my closet, as the pieces she picks simply don’t go “out of style”. Her clothing is a combination of stylish but not trendy, high end but affordable, and always quality over quantity. I live in San Francisco now and still make it a point to try and see her when I’m back in town – and it’s not just to add some fabulous new clothing to my wardrobe, but because when you leave her store you feel like you just met with an old friend: she’s kind, insightful, and wants you to feel not only good but completely comfortable and beautiful in your own skin. She doesn’t have a disingenuous bone in her body. She’s a class act and one of a kind.

Tamara was very professional during my appointment. Dakota Stone Boutique has a great variety in clothing. The clothing is made out of great quality. Due to my weight loss I needed to update what was in my closet and Tamara really assisted me with selecting new pieces. I feel so confident in my new wardrobe.
