Instructors are passionate and very knowledgeable, they deeply care about people, and what This great martial art can do to improve lives. I’m proud to train at Crucible Jiu jitsu, it has been a great experience, and I am excited for the future of this place.

  I’ve been training jiu jitsu on and off for a few years, although Jiu Jitsu can be very intimidating being at crucible will be a stepping stone in changing your life and well being …try a free week and become a better version of yourself and be apart of a growing team .

  Let me start off by saying this - if you are thinking of training Jiu jitsu, but not really sure if you want to, just try it. Try the free week Crucible offers. It will be one of the best decisions you can make in your life. Not only for your physical health (you will not believe how fast your body gets whipped into shape), but for your mental health.
  
  I started training Jiu jitsu because my son and fiancé had signed up for classes. I saw how much they loved it and thought why not just give it a try. One class in, and I was hooked. Being a woman in a sport that is male dominated is intimidating; until you start actually training. Jiu jitsu is empowering. Your body is able to compete against people you never thought possible.
  
  The owner, Jesse, is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people you will ever meet. There is a very welcoming atmosphere once you walk in the gym doors, and a sense of comfortability. You can tell he wants each and everyone of his students to succeed.
  
  Also, I highly recommend the striking class on Wednesday nights!

  1st off this place is AMAZING!!! I started training here 6 months ago and i cant get enough, I literally come every day twice a day. The atmosphere here is infectious and very family oriented. In 6 months I have managed to lose almost 40 pounds and I’m having a blast doing it. As for Jesse, he is the man. My son loves him and literally thinks he is a super hero. For all the women out there, my fiancée has been training here for a few months and loves it as well. Trust me, no weirdos here. I recommend doing the free full week. This sport and gym will change your life as it did mine!

  I visited this academy on 8/31/2022 and had a great experience. The first thing good thing to say is, I was greeted at the door by the owner. A lot of times it can be awkward showing up to a martial arts academy to train, but in this experience I felt very welcome by all. The first thing I noticed was how clean the academy was and how well decorated.
  The bathroom was immaculate, and there was ladies and men's changing rooms.
  
  The temperature of the gym was amazing (Central AC!), after several rounds of rolling I still felt great and ready to continue working.
  
  The next thing that impressed me was the family environment. I grew up in the martial arts, and I have fond memories of all the times I spend training at the children's class then hanging out with my friends while our parents all trained in the adults class.
  
  The last and most important is the instructor. Jesse Cruz is a very knowledgeable instructor, well beyond a typical black belt. I could tell after rolling with him that he has a lot of competitive experience. I hope that as his student base grows "as it absolutely will based on his personality and skill", that I can visit on occasion and train with Jesse and his students.
  
  The last thing you all should know is, I train at another academy, I have no affiliation with this place and am writing this review solely based on my experience. I only met Jesse a month ago and this was the first time seeing him since meeting him and him inviting me to visit his new academy.
  
  If you live in the area and want to learn Jiu Jitsu, this is the place.
