  In reading some of the reviews I was hesitant to book at the Crowne Plaza (Newark Airport), and that at best the hotel was adequate.
  
  Perhaps I came at the right time with the right staff, but the Crowne Plaza exceeded my expectations for service, location, and the room. For service, the shuttle at Newark Airport arrived within 15 minutes, and the front desk accommodated my request of having a room away from the road without any attitude or delay (even if they could not I do believe they would've explained the situation with respect and sincerity). The staff in the cafe were kind as well.
  
  The location was great for me, as I have a morning flight today. It took the shuttle less than five minutes to drive from the hotel to the airport. I could understand, however, the distance from eating places, but that did not apply to me.
  
  The room was fantastic. I'd read reviews that the decor was dated, but I saw none of that at the front lobby, cafe, or in the rooms. Even if it was dated (and I am not a design afficionado) everything was clean and well-maintained. The AC could be controlled from the wall, the bed was comfortable, the WiFi good, and the bathroom good. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
  
  Call me a fan of the Crowne Plaza, and I would stay there again. Not only did it have these things, but the price was better than surrounding hotels of comparable quality. I travel a lot, and I would say that the Crowne Plaza Newark Airport was the most pleasant surprise of any hotel I've stayed in at least five years. Whatever they did from Sunday afternoon (May 14) to when I checked out early this morning....they have a winning formula, and I felt compelled (due to my experience) to write a review ASAP.

  The lobby was very nice and so was the staff, beds were comfy and pillows were amazing. Our room was a bit dated with torn curtains and the AC was set to 90 when we arrived. The shuttle service to and from the airport was exceptional.

  Excellent stay. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean and fresh. I had a fridge that worked great, microwave, and nice size flat screen with an excellent picture. Office area was nice ample space and super comfortable chair. The check in went really smooth. The lady was really professional yet friendly. She has a name but forgot her name. She even called to check if room was up to par. Hope she is checking me in the next time I am in Newark are. Restaurant in hotel was to die for. I have not had Burger that delicious in a long time. The waiters were outstanding. Very attentive and went out of their way to make feel right at home. Truly rememberable experience. Truly an excellent stay. Will be back. Do recommend. I read the other reviews. I sorry the had bad experiences. I truly enjoyed my stay. The only thing I wish I had more time there.
