Very caring doctor.
Our mother has had dementia, probably since, 2015. I had her evaluated by a neurologist in 2018. At the time, and without the further testing, because she refused it, he diagnosed her w/early Alzheimers. Fast forward to 2022, and anyone who cares for someone w/dementia knows that it has only gotten worse, because it won't ever be better. There is no cure. She is housebound, refuses to leave the house, except for those days I get lucky, and she sits outtside for a few minutes. I was lost, as to getting some kind of medical evaluation of her, ie, vitals, medication, assurances, anything, to not feel so alone in her care. Thankfully, through some research one weekend, I came across Dr. Coven. I have read everything I've been able to get my hands on, since my mother's diagnosis, so, I'm pretty well versed in what is happening to her. But. Dementia is very complex, in that, although dementia progresses to the same tragic end, no two journeys are going to be identical. I just needed someone in the medical field, to see the progression of this disease, and her decline, on a regular basis. Of course, accurately, recording her vitals monthy, has been helpful as well. Thankful that a PA is able to see her, although to legally navigate the system, ie., Social Security, Government Pensions, on her behalf, and, to some extent, and in some instances, banking, she actually has to be seen by a physician.
Dr Coven Is a compassionate caring doctor. He has a great sense of humor. He does house calls. I would recommend him to anyone who is a caregiver
