Live animals in glass tanks, & a very interactive place

We were surprised when we realized we were just in time for a Turtle Talk presentation, and got to see real turtles! After the presentation, we walked around the inside of the center and saw a lot of really detailed information. The people were all very nice and helpful too!

(March 4, 2017, 4:04 pm)Nice place, cool nature preserve building with turtles and frogs and some interesting taxidermy. Lots of trails and scheduled walks. There is also a playground for the kids to run around on.

(July 25, 2016, 1:04 pm)well, this was fantastic when it was open...superstorm Sandy has closed it down, so the staff is in a trailer beside the building. Still, the park is a great place for a hike or a bike ride, or to see some birds and other wildlife.
