Beautiful zoo! Restrooms were clean. All staff had Amazing customer service. They were all very helpful and knowledgeable. Animals kept in very clean and maintained conditions. They prefer tickets to be purchased online but do have sales at the door when I visited. They do have a gift shop.

Hubs and I had a great time! Spent close to 6 hours walking around viewing all of the animals. We loved the Prairie Dogs, Maned Wolf and Tiger to name a few. Not as busy as anticipated with most at the beach today. The lady running the gift shop was a hoot. For those not looking to pay admission to the zoo, Beardsley Park is right near by, super clean, option to picnic or just get some walking in.

Great exhibits and some amazing animals. I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the zoo grounds. The man with the animal pelts was a hit with the kids. He had many tidbits of knowledge that they loved and even a few jokes that had them laughing. More than ample parking very close to the entrance. Good friendly service at the Cafe and the ladies running the gift shop were a riot! A+

Best zoo in all of Connecticut! A nice one to two hour trip that is fun for the whole family! Ample parking and very friendly staff make this a must visit location if you are in Connecticut.
You must buy tickets in advance but I forgot so I just did in the parking lot.

Overall great zoo for kids and family. We spent the whole day. Inside zoo, restaurant is very decent and charges are nominal price with neat and clean. The zoo is also expanding for additional animals, but is worth to spend time here with family.
