(August 14, 2023, 10:53 am)I have lived in Wallingford for 3 years and this was my first time at this supermarket. The deli employee who helped me today was absolutely amazing. When I got to the register the 2 girls running the register area were not attentive. I was pretty much ignored. However I was so impressed with the deli and the deli employee that I can’t give this place any less than 5 stars.

(July 18, 2023, 8:44 am)Pricey BUT I love this place. We get sandwiches from the deli for dinner. Great! Fruits and veggies, local bakery products, take home dinners all the really good. Specialty pastas. Their Eggplant Parm is as good as mine! Fresh breads. I don't love that they plastic wrap some of the pastries...but I get it I guess. Almost a 5.

A local & family-run business that sells quality and fresh produce, a large selection of packaged meat and butcher counter products, and deli that is top notch and also offers a large selection of pre-made, ready to eat meals.
Try Jackie's Energy Balls from the Deli. Great flavors, and they're healthy. They're my go-to snack!
CT Fresh Food & Produce is a single location grocery store that offers really fresh products.
I expect you'll feel satisfied and pleased knowing you shopped local and bought quality foods. -

(June 25, 2023, 12:16 pm)What a nice store! Excellent, fresh and flavorful produce. Lots of extras there, deli and all those wonderful prepared foods and salad bar. Cannot wait to try so much more there.
Prices are a bit high and I get that the quality is good but the store is without a doubt for those with deep pockets on a regular basis. The staff also doesn't seem that upbeat. Hopefully for what the store must take in they're well paid.
We plan to take a lot of the prepared foods on our cabin vacations. -

(February 26, 2019, 3:27 pm)Although I’d known about the Connecticut Fresh Produce Market, I hadn’t shopped there since they moved to the their current location, a couple of years ago.
What a drastic, and pleasant change. Although they always had great produce, the old location was a bit cramped and maze-like to wend your way through.
This new store is significantly larger, and while still offering great fresh produce, it now has a complete deli section that offers not only fresh cut meats, but hot & cold sandwiches, several in-house made soups daily, in pint and quart sizes. They also now offer catering services.
I decided to try three different soups today and a couple of hot sandwiches.
Quart sizes of chicken vegetable, beef barley, and turkey rice, were what I chose.
I also picked up a steak, cheese, pepper & mushroom sandwich as well as an Italian style sausage & pepper sandwich (it’s also offered “fair style”, with just the peppers & sausage).
I now know that I won’t be going to the trouble of making soup at home any longer. The chicken vegetable soup was made in house, and chock full of large pieces of chicken, and big slices of carrots and celery. AND it wasn’t at all salty. Great for those, like me on a salt restricted diet.
I’ll most certainly be returning for more soup and an occasional sandwich, as well as to buy my fresh fruits and vegetables in the future.
