The scouts use the NEWLY RENOVATED RENTAL BUILDING. Great job by the church's ladies club. The building is a fantastic location for parties and family events.
I am a member of this vibrant congregation.
Why 5 Stars?? So many reasons!
I enjoy the accepting, welcoming, and down-to-earth vibe of this church family.
I like that wherever you are on your faith journey, you have a place here, and you can be as chill or active as you are comfortable.
It was refreshing to learn that it's not all about the money plate here. Sure, churches need money to run, but that's not Farmingville UCC's focus or requirement. I give to my church as a member because I want to and because I truly believe in our ministries and uses of our offerings
I really enjoy being part of our community outreach events, where I can put my faith into action and help our neighbors in need.
No joke, I am a better human as a result of my connection/faith journey with this church community.
I am truly grateful I took a risk and gave this church a chance.
It took me years to find this church, then more years before I was able to let go of all that emotional baggage from previous church experiences. But I never felt pressured or shamed or questioned at Farmingville UCC. I was simply welcomed and loved. To be loved for you and where you are right now...that's the greatest gift, isn't it? And to me, that is what a Christian church family should strive to be, people who love, as Jesus taught. (I wrote "strive" because none of us are perfect; however, we can choose to apologize when we make a mistake, forgive others and ourselves, and to learn and grow as a result.)
Congregational United Church of Famingville's Vision Statement: We believe everyone is welcome, nobody's perfect, and with God, anything is possible!
Had our Boy Scout Troop 80 and our girls Troop 807G meeting there. Great place for meetings and parties. Church members are wonderful to work with.
