After a hospital stay in December, 2022, my dad spent a few weeks recovering at Barn Hill. In April, 2023, I received an invoice for a significant outstanding amount. I reached out to the billing department and luckily Helen Washburn answered my call. Miss Helen is an exceptional person; she is professional, competent and knowledgeable. She listened, asked appropriate questions, identified the missing insurance info and sent a detailed email to the person who could resubmit to insurance.
In June, I contacted her again with a question about a rented hospital bed. Helen again listened, asked questions and reached out to the social worker. Returning to the call, she provided me with the needed information/phone number to take care of returning the bed.
My dad is 90 years old and in frail health; I have never navigated this maze before and was so blessed by Helen's genuine care and desire to help. Helen provides excellent customer service for COMPLETE care at Barn Hill.
At the end of our conversation, she warmly invited me to call her with any additional questions; I told her I wished she was in charge of everything!!!! Thanks again Helen.
My father was there for several weeks until he went into an assisted living facility. I was especially impressed by the nurse manager Kay who went above and beyond for us during his time there. The staff were very attentive and extremely helpful during a very stressful time. The facility looks a bit tired and in need of an update but the staff was wonderful. Thank you for everything!
My dad has been there in long term care for four months. Everyone from the welcome in to the nurses and caregivers are wonderful and compassionate people. My dad's health and care is top priority to the staff. Special thanks to Teresa and Helen for helping me through and explaining things to me. I'm grateful for all you do.
