I am 86 years old and both of my children are physicians. They helped me write this review. Dr. Cohen is a marvelous technical surgeon (you want this the most from your doctor), but just as importantly, he is an exemplary human being. Compassion and empathy govern his manner and practice. It is hard getting older. One feels less like a participant and more like a vulnerable spectator. Improved vision can help, but one is anxious and tentative. Most ophthalmologists service the needs of the eye but not necessarily the soul governing it. What a wonderful gift when you can get both.
