One of the best BNRC preserves, and one of the best hikes in the Berkshires.
Nice place to hike. Not too strenuous so it's a great place for kids. Follows a stream and there is a place for kids to walk down and stick their feet in the water. See photo for hiking map.
Love this property, possibly my favorite BNRC property. It was cool to see the clam/muscle organisms in the river. Nice trails.
Quite place where the river can be heard along the loop trail. There are great vantage points as the trail is up on the bank facing down. Would go back again!
Great hike, but the milage can be deceiving. We took the clam river trail (not the loop) up toward Hammerhead? Road, to the Foundation/hole and back which was 4.87 miles. The official milage is shorter. But, still a good hike. Recommended.
