(September 8, 2021, 3:51 pm)Super friendly staff and overall a very pleasant urgent care experience. It can get quite busy, especially with COVID testing, but I walked in on a Friday afternoon for a non-COVID related issue and only had to wait 20-30 minutes before being shown into an exam room. The attentiveness and patient-focus was top notch - I discussed my issue first with the nurse, then with the physician’s assistant, and then finally with Dr. Klokeid (with the nurse and physician’s assistant still in the exam room). Dr. Klokeid (and his staff) was very personable, knowledgeable, and answered every single one of my questions (of which there were many) calmly and clearly - ensuring that I fully understood his diagnosis and put my mind at ease.
I went to UMD by Vernon Blvd. in Long Island City a bit earlier in the day and got the worst treatment (see my review on them) and came to CityMD for a second opinion due to my being rushed out of UMD just so they could churn more patients and bring in more money.
If you’re in need of urgent care, I HIGHLY recommend going to CityMD in LIC. They provide the kind of care and personal attention that’s required to be given to people who come to them with a medically urgent condition and are looking for answers.
