  Christian Charter and his colleague Justin painted the aluminum siding on our home in April. They did an incredible job, every neighbor has stopped to comment on how good our house looks. They are professional, efficient, come on time and clean up when they leave. Christian especially goes above and beyond making sure you are satisfied with their work. I have no hesitation in recommending to all who ask.

  We have used Charter many times over many years, and always turn to them when new needs arise. We have used them for large jobs (painting the whole house) to small ones (patchwork, spackling and stucco repair, etc.) and pretty much everything in between. Most recently we have had individual rooms done, radiators and stairs repainted and more. We have never been disappointed. Not once.
  Always they have been professional, timely, courteous and do their work on time. Jim Charter and Christian Charter know their business and treat us and our property with respect. Their crews are always well trained and do excellent work.
  We have been in our house for almost 40 years and if we had ever found them to be less than competent or fair we would surely have looked elsewhere. In fact, they have never let us down.
  You would do well to consider Charter for your needs. We recommend them strongly.

  We called several painters, many didn’t return our call. Jim Charter returned my call the same day and we met the following day. He took the time to tell me about the history of his company and discussed in depth the services that they provide. I was impressed with his professionalism. When he sent me the quote it was very detailed and I liked that he gave me several options so that I was able to choose the service that best fit my budget. Charter Painting went out of their way to accommodate our schedule and they completed the exterior painting in much less time than I anticipated. The quality of work was great and they were respectful to our property, making sure to clean up their supplies. I would recommend Charter Painting and would not hesitate to use them again.

  I reached out to a lot of different contractors regarding a painting project on my house and none of them would really give me the time of day, or if they would show up, they just weren't helpful. Charter Restoration was helpful right from the start. They got right to the point and did a wonderful job including cleaning up around the area and making sure that everything was perfect before they left. They were very quick and thorough at the same time and even educated me on how to maintain my home to help protect it from Connecticut winters. I loved working with them and definitely recommend them.

  Was wondering whether my beat up deck was worth having restored, or just totally rebuilt. I called Charter Painting & Restoration, and had Christian come out to take a look at it. He showed up when he said he would (which is half the battle with most contractors). He took measurements and told me what it would take to get it back to looking good. The contract form was very clear and easy to read and most importantly the price was right! He said to replace a few of the boards which were pretty heavily rotted, either i can do it myself, or have one of his contractors do it. This was something i could handle myself, so i did just that.
  He said they were about 2 weeks backed up with work and he'd start then, which he promptly did, a good high pressure washing, sanding the entire deck and rails on day 2, blew off all the sanding dust, and applied the first coat, came back the 3rd day (on a Saturday) for coat #2. I let it dry for a couple days since it was extra humid, and this thing looks good as new!! Thanks!
