  I was recommended this place by a friend. I came all the way up from Southeastern PA to check out this shop as I heard good things about it. I was gonna be in Poughkeepsie for the day and decided to pop by. I was assisted by several staff members who were very polite, friendly , and knowledgeable. As a MTG player I felt like a kid in a candy store. In my local area I’m accustomed to seeing maybe 2-4 display cases of mostly obscure powerful cards that aren’t useful to alot of deck themes. Upon entering this store I was surprised and ecstatic to see several dozen cases full of staple cards. They had binders of mostly every magic set. I spent about 3 hours digging through binders grabbing things I couldn’t find in any of the 5 shops I frequent in my home area. The staff member who assisted me was very helpful. I felt so bad throwing an entire decklist on them. They reassured me I was fine and didn’t give me any sense of growing impatient . I paid a very good price for them and was very pleased with my experience. I traded some cards in towards my overall purchase total and feel very pleased that I got a good deal. I turned 7 cards I wasn’t using into a very powerful reserved list card. I left with 75% of a new deck done and found several staple cards for my other decks. The players who were at the shop were also very nice and welcoming of me into their community. I’d definitely make the 2 1/2 hour trip again for the wonderful experience I had. Thanks a lot guys!   Champion is hands-down the best card shop in the area: their product selection is immense, their employees are involved and well-versed, and the community they foster is welcoming and engaged. Plus, regular MTG and Pokemon tournaments with good turnout and fair pricing. I strongly recommend!

  Always have what I need and want! Not to mention the amazing customer service! 100% a go to game store in the Hudson valley! Lots of items too! Pokemon, Warhammer, Magic the gathering and more!! They even host events/Tournaments for Pokemon, Magic and more aswell! AND they sell paint and models and tools for all your gaming needs. They respect the community and handle situations in a orderly fashion! :) Definitely worth the stop if you are looking for a gaming store!

  Best game store in the Hudson Valley. Massive selection of rare magic and pokemon singles, more warhammer models than you can find anywhere else. Beautiful custom gaming tables. Helpful and knowledgeable staff make for a great environment.
