(March 13, 2023, 8:30 pm)Dr. Sotela is an incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable equine professional. She is very patient with my horse and the only reason my horse is sound. Dr. Sotela is amazing at outlining all the treatment options available and makes you feel very supported in whatever choice you make for your horse. She takes pride in everything she does and is always continuing her education/research to provide the most cutting edge treatments in regards to lameness/equine medicine. She has called me on her own personal time because she could feel my panic through texts to help calm me in regards to my horse which is very above and beyond. She also will always be honest in her prognosis and not give any false hope. Just don’t mess with her sterile field ha,ha!!

(January 1, 2023, 4:16 pm)Dr. Sotella provided an extremely thorough pre-purchase exam for me. She was flexible with scheduling, showed up for the exam early, offered me lots of options throughout the exam, spent enormous time going over findings with me as we went, made herself available after the exam to discuss at length and offered me various options for bloodwork dependent on whether I would move forward with the purchase. I cannot recommend Dr. Sotella for a PPE strongly enough.

UTD equipment, ongoing educational expertise that provides options, direct and decisive advice with interest of horse foremost. Wish she was closer to our farm, as our area sorely needs experienced a well equipped equine vet service in this area of Upstate NY in the Western Catskills .
