  I had heard very bad things about seeking care through the VA. The only problem that I have had here is scheduling appointments, some times it takes a considerably long time for the next available appointment. I have always been treated professionally and they really care. They send multiple reminders about upcoming appointments and simply reply with a "N" and you can have it canceled and then reschedule it. When ever I have had an emergency they have been able to help and done so professionally and with care.

  Best VA facility in the Hudson Valley. The staff and volunteers are extremely helpful. Medical staff is very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and professional. Appointments are easy to get, sometimes with a little bit of a wait. They have a nice Canteen and gift show, a cafeteria, and a coffee shop.

  I am a 100% disabled veteran with many issues. I have always been treated with respect and dignity. I find how you treat the workers is what you get in return. I really appreciate the care I receive. Recenty Dr Harrison in cardiology saved my life. I was having some blood pressure issues. No heart symptoms but she got me to West Haven CT where the docs discovered I needed bypass . I am here because of her quick actions. I cannot thank her enough.

  My father passed away recently and I wanted to thank Castle Point VA for their expert and compassionate care, especially in the later years as his medical care needs intensified. My father looked forward to visiting Castle Point and the warm welcome he always received. The Castle Point team, from the people staffing the guard post and welcome desk to the nurses, doctors and all the rest of the staff, treated him like an honored guest. They took the extra time to ensure he had the best possible care. You are doing a great service to all Veterans. We are forever in your debt.
