While having your wisdom teeth out is never a "pleasant" experience, the doctor's bedside manner was fantastic and he put me at ease by explaining the process from start to finish. The laughing gas was A+. Highly recommended, would go again if I didn't already have all four wisdom teeth out.
The Army sent me here, which generally doesn't bode well. I had been to on oral surgeon prior to my visit here, and he was rude, didn't like the troops and generally was ill tempered.
When I got a second chance, The Army sent me to Carbon Oral Surgery, and I was expecting the same.. Very knowledgeable, Great bedside manor, and Patient. I was happy about the price, and I was in and out.. The wisdom tooth extraction went well and I was out for the whole thing.. the other guy tried to do it while i was awake,

My family dentist gave me three local oral surgeons to try. The first one's receptionist was rude and I decided not to even make an appointment. I called here next, and was immediately reassured by the friendly and knowledgeable receptionist, who took every step to make the paperwork side as easy as possible, and set me up with the first available appointment for my schedule.
When I arrived for my procedure, the oral surgeon's assistant was very personable, and explained every step of how we would proceed. As a doctor myself, I had a lot of questions. The surgeon took all the time I needed to make sure every single question I had was answered to my satisfaction, and his manner was very reassuring - what seemed like a big deal to me, he made clear was less traumatic than I was expecting. When I went to sign the consent form, it was not just a standard "I agree to this procedure and understand there are risks and hold harmless..." It was a form that step-by-step made sure you understood and agreed to every point - this was the perfect example of informed consent.
The procedure itself was simple, and took longer to set up the local anesthesia than to do the procedure, everything was as efficient as it could be. The surgeon and the assistant put me at ease throughout the entire procedure. I had cleared my afternoon with the expectation that I would be there for a long while, in spite of the receptionist's initial comment that it would only be an hour. She was absolutely right, I was on my way out the door in about an hour. Even if I had not had insurance, I still would have found the price of the procedure very reasonable.
One of the best "perks" of this practice was the on call availability. If I had any questions after hours, the answering service could put me in touch with my doctor, which I did use later after coming home when I had a question that evening. If there were any negatives to the experience, it would be that the person at the answering service was a little rude, but that's not the practice's fault. The doctor answered my question and assured me he was available at any time if I had more questions. As both a doctor and a patient, I have a lot of respect for that dedication to the patient and good customer service.
I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone requiring oral surgery, my experience could not have been more positive!
