    The trailhead for the Cannon/Canon property is a gravel parking lot along Robin Drive. Four cars can fit if parked nose-first. Ascend a small set of steps, and the journey begins.

    The journey up the hill is gentle to moderately steep, as is the descent for crossing Joan Kennedy Brook. Waterproof footwear is recommended. Once you cross the brook, you will hike up a bit, and then level out. It is here that the yellow/golden triangle blazes have faded over time. Look carefully, as it's easy to miss the path. At the first trail fork, I bore to the left, traveling clockwise. For a return visit, I'd go right and hike counterclockwise. The blazes have higher visibility this way.

    The terrain is typical for the area: mixed hardwoods, mossy rocks, plenty of ferns, and numerous erratics sticking out of the ground.
