  Parents Please Read This!
  I sent my African American son here for the very first time this summer (2023). I had to mention African American because you don't see too many of us sending our kids to overnight camps. If you know, you know! LOL. So, at first I was very hesitant because I usually like to check out the cabin, and see where he will be sleeping for the duration however I arrived a little late and they also had a policy of not letting parents check out the cabins. That is my only complaint, I am a very newsy parent naturally I want to ensure my child's safety.
  But let me tell you! When I picked him up my heart was filled with so much joy. My son raved about his experience.
  Walking up to watch the final performance, and the kids singing gospel songs is worth everything and more. Camp Haluwasa does an exceptional job at teaching the kids about the Lord and on how to be good and god fearing.
  My son came home wanting to be a Christian and wanting to learn so much about god, and even wanting to be baptized. I am currently seeking a church for us to attend, thanks to camp Haluwasa.
  I am forever grateful for this experience.
  My son also said they have air conditioned cabins. He also said that the cabins were "very clean" and the "beds are comfortable". The food could be better, but that can easily be worked on. If they want to hire me as a chef, I'd so do it in exchange for the camp fee. Hint, Hint.
  
  I will definitely be sending him again next year for two weeks. I'd send him for the entire month if I could afford it! :)

  Just had a tour of this beautiful Christian camp. 1st they were so accommodating to allow us an early tour, even though they are in prep season and not officially opened. 2nd a shout out to the tour guide Laurie N. who was super friendly, knowledgeable, and most hospitable. This is a historic and unique camp that coexists with the nature and natural resources there.
  If you are a Christian in NJ (or not) send your kids here for a memory they will always sherish.

  My kids love this camp! Is it a little rustic? Yes, it's a camp! There is dirt, bugs and they swim in a lake. My kids always have a blast and look forward to their week there every year.

  Went on a Men's retreat with my Church recently and had a great time! Staff was very pleasant and the food was great. The camping Cabin experience was awesome. The fire pit was ready and fishing was fun. Overall great place especially to have a retreat. I'm hoping we come back!!
