(May 20, 2023, 6:09 am)The hike to the castle is nice, but the other trail (red) we did was okay . It had a couple of nice spots, but others that were really overgrown and our so muddy we had to make our own trail to get through. Trails could have been marked better as well. Was a little confusing following. Also wear long pants and tick repellent. Our dog had at least 15 ticks on her.

The hiking trails are well marked, the sights are well worth your while, and the thick green canopy of the forest allows you to feel cool even on a hot summer day. The tall tower at the start of the trail is quite the sight to behold as you ascend. Hope you're not afraid of heights!

(November 5, 2022, 8:57 pm)We went there for hike later in a fall , most leaves was already down but the place is gorgeous with beautiful view from that tower. Different recommended place for walking with the dog or hiking.
