My daughter was interested in seeing an axolotl and I found out the Bushy Hill Nature Center of Deep River has one! My daughter was excited to see the axolotl. We were told all kinds of good info. about it. Not only that, but they had several other animals we were shown. It was a good experience. As to any recommendations, the only things I can think of are if your child is going to see an animal for the 1st time, let them know to give us a minute before explaining things about the animal so the child may enjoy seeing the animal undistracted, but otherwise it can be really great to have someone w/so much knowledge around to give a tour. And, the other thing is if they had change for a larger bill, it would make it easier to give the exact donation one would like to give. Anyway, great experience and I recommend others go there, too!

Great place for kids or adults. Lots of very interesting animal bones and recreations of Native American artifacts.
Very nice went on a school trip. The kids really enjoyed themselves.
