  The best pediatrician we’ve ever had. We lived on SI when our first (daughter) was born and moved to the west coast 4years ago, now we’ve gone through 5 Peds total since. When we were new parents he was always available to calm our fears. Parenting is tough enough so you may as well have someone experienced to keep you calm. I’m very glad he was our pediatrician.

  I cannot say enough good things about Dr. B. He was my pediatrician growing up and as soon as I became pregnant I knew I wanted him to be my son’s. My brother suffered from cellulitis due to a spider bite which required hospitalization and I distinctly remember seeing Dr. B there all the time. My son suffered from horrible asthma when he was younger and the amount of times I called and texted him on his emergency phone and I probably would have told me to find a new doctor. He even had us come to his office after hours to check my sons lungs for me. He truly cares about all of his patients. He wants all of his patients vaccinated for their safety and he does not overprescribe which I LOVE. His nurse practitioner is also amazing and he always makes accommodations/ same day appointments.   He is amazing and wonderful with my kids. I moved to NJ and he is so worth the trip when they are sick or for well visits. I’ve only had the BEST experience with his staff as well. Always very pleasant and accommodating and I never have to wait long to be seen. Highly recommend this doctor. His nurse practitioner is also wonderful!

  I can't say enough good things about this practice. I love both Dr B himself and the PA Alex. They are absolutely amazing with my son who has Autism and trusts no one. However, he loves them. They are VERY patient with him and show much compassion. Bed side manner is outstanding. They are VERY knowledgeable in this practice. Very kind. I love how they are very old school natural home remedies first. Very quick to report any labs. I can go on and on for days. I love this practice. It reminds me very much of my pcp when I was was a child. Brilliant.

  Dr. Buonaspina is the most caring, supportive and compassionate doctor I have ever met. I never met a doctor who gives his private phone number to parents of very sick children and tell them to call if they have any questions any time, day or night. As a doctor who also specializes in infectious diseases, he is amazing. He does not do unnecessary testing and uses good judgement in treating patients. If you are lucky to live in Staten Island, I highly recommend Dr. Buonaspina as your pediatrician.
