Brooksvale is a great park to spend an afternoon. Kids will love seeing the animals, and there's some easy hiking trails.
This is a great place to walk for free. There are so many trails you can go on. There's also a variety of animals that you can look at. Some of these are chicken's, ponies, rabbits, and bees. I personally like the rabbits because they have their own little story with their name! Chickens like attacking each other. Animals are kept very well though. Will come again
There is a lot more to Brooksville park than you would think! When we went we were taken on a nature walk. they walked through the fields where they had the bird feeders, saw many different types of wildlife. There's the pond that is teeming with life in the summer and open for skating in the Winter.. They are always keeping the farm animals Safe and accessible. There are fields to play on and miles of hiking trails. Like I said much more than meets the eye and you could definitely spend A day there running around with or without the kids doing various activities.
Mr. Laffin sure knows how to make a park beautiful! The garden is STUNNING and this park boasts loads of trails for you and your family. Don't forget to visit the farm animals! There's also a bee farm and large picnicking areas. Hamden's crown jewel!
Wonderful way to spend the day! Right on the Farmington Canal Trail. This is the most pleasant of places. Large red barns. A beautiful garden and pond. They have mini horses, sheep, goats, and rabbits. There are even chickens! Don't forget to ask for a dozen of freshly laid eggs for a small donation. They are so yummy! Nothing beats fresh eggs. Wonderful staff. Well kept grounds. Just an overall 5 star place that I will visit often!
