    One of the oldest Bird Sanctuaries in the USA, the 16.8-acre Preserve was acquired in 1924 by the New Canaan Bird Protective Society. Today the trails are a little run down and invasive plants are spreading, but it remains a valuable oasis in the midst of a developing Town. A new Master Plan is in development to prepare for the Centennial Celebration in 2024.
