  Lessons with Richard have helped me grow so much as a singer and a musician. I was able to accomplish so much in such a short amount of time and learned a lot about my own abilities to better myself. He helped me to identify my strengths and weaknesses as a singer and I've noticed so many changes in my voice and am so satisfied with the progress I've made since taking lessons!

  Rich is an amazing inspiration to all of his students, like myself, pushing us to put the most work and effort into our music. I have been training with him for roughly five or six years now and I can say for certain that no other teacher will put this much time and patience into their students. He goes into depth with music theory and sight reading which is extremely vital for songwriters and musicians in general. My vocal range has expanded and I am able to sing pieces I never thought I would be able to sing. Being as stubborn as I am, Rich pushed me in the most incredible way possible and allowed me to expand my talent and most importantly, express myself through my music. All I can say is, Richard is a musical genius! I cannot thank him enough for being a remarkable teacher and mentor.

  I've been singing (tenor) all my life and never had a voice teacher until Rich. Even after just a few months of weekly lessons, I started getting compliments on the improved tone and timber of my voice. After a year or so, I was able to increase my vocal range by a couple of notes (comfortably hitting G-sharp, A and on good days, a B-flat). I didn't think that was possible at my age (early 60s), but it happened! Rich is so knowledgeable not just in technique but also in theory and historical backgrounds of the pieces being worked on. We tackled both classical and pop pieces and I am so thankful to Rich for the significant improvement in my singing ability. He is such a gifted teacher!

  Rich is the best vocal teacher ever! I’ve worked with him for about 3 years and I’m confident in saying that my voice would not have shown this much improvement without his guidance and lessons. Not only does he give out really niche and interesting repertoire, but he also fine tunes on the basic skills that people need to become good musicians overall. I’ve worked on my breath support and resonance, but I’ve also become a better sight reader and more expressive while singing as well. I would 100% recommend him to any person, from those looking to begin their vocal journey, to those who have already been at it for several years.

  Rich and I have been working together for 10 years now. He has helped me grow and develop through numerous phases of my singing career. As a young child I always "natural" ability but lacked the technical training I needed to bring my voice to its full potential. Technique has never come easy to me, even so Rich has always exercised patience with me. Over the years he has prepped me for my recording projects, has given his input with my original music, and has always presented opportunities for me to perform. Two years in a row now I have been asked by Rich to perform and speak on behalf of "Elks Camp Moore". For this alone, I will always be grateful. Each new year with Rich brings the excitement of learning a new technique, performance opportunities, meeting musicians, making friends, and personal growth. I have never been more proud or confident of myself as a singer as I am today. It all started 10 years ago when I was willing to take a good look at what was holding me back as a singer and brave enough to let Rich in, to help me learn how to let go. Thank you Rich!
