My experience with Dr. Eve Capkanis.
When I first met Dr. Eve Capkanis in Oct. 2008, I thought going to her would be like asking for physical therapy – tell her where I had pain and she would work on it. What surprised me was that she wanted an entire health history. My principal concern at that time was bursitis, which I’d had off and on since 1986. I had cortisone shots annually for three years starting in 2004.
Over these years, I came to realize that Dr. Eve is an expert. In addition to bursitis, she has helped me recover from several injuries, including: a pulled muscle, several fractures in my back, a rib contusion in 2014, a compression fracture in my back in July 2017, and, in October 2021, two fractured ribs when I fell on a rock while hiking with a group for the first time in several years.
I’m now 84. I have been treated by her twice a week since October 2008 except for April 2020 to Jan. 2021 during COVID. Throughout, she helped me improve my posture and recover strength. After treatment she often says, “Now you’re nice and straight!”
Dr. Eve is warm, friendly and encouraging. Her method is very gentle, not the image of a chiropractor pounding the patient, that I had before going to her. She is very knowledgeable on many aspects of health and treatment. She is excellent at sharing practical information and knows a lot about natural foods and alternatives to commercial medications. She is the person I ask if I have something bothering me related to my health.
Eve has an office by herself, with no other personnel. I enjoy the atmosphere with quiet music playing as a background.
I would recommend Dr. Eve Capkanis to anyone who is looking for a gentle expert healer.
