  Our overall experience was excellent. Food and bar service was top notch. I gave it 4 stars because of our water problem. All cold water (tub, shower,sink) was extremely hot >120 deg. Both the hot and cold lines became so hot you could not take a shower. We mentioned it to front desk as we left so we don’t know if it was corrected. It was the River suite room.

  Had a fantastic time at the Black Bass Inn. Stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner. The food was great. Strawberry citrus salad was very fresh. I had the crab cake entrée. Very good, served with a side of fresh vegetables - carrots and string beans and not the usual zucchini and rice pilaf. I enjoyed the elderberry cocktail - dad had a strawberry mint mojito and thoroughly enjoyed it. But what made the afternoon was the service and attention of the staff. I had my senior parents with me and the restaurant staff could not be more accommodating. We were seated with a sneak view of the river, large table for the wheelchair and seated in the original historic section of the inn. Special shout out to our server - Sheri Lynn. So kind and thoughtful. Her meal recommendations were spot on. If you're out for a Sunday drive (as we were) consider stopping by the inn for an exceptional meal and great service. We will be back! Thanks to all the staff and thanks for a great meal.

  This wasn't our first visit to the BB, but our first overnight stay. We booked room 2 and found it rather accommodating. The river views are spectacular. We enjoyed a great meal (as always) at a time of our choosing as well.
  Update 7/17/2023: Advise calling ahead if planning a visit. Severe rain resulting in washed-out roads and emergency services activities may drastically limit access to the Black Bass over the next few days or more.

  I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Black Bass Hotel Restaurant for a friend’s birthday and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was struck by the stunning ambiance - the perfect mix of classic elegance and modern sophistication.
  
  The bar tenders, Sherilyn and Jody were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant. The attention to detail and the level of service I received was truly impressive.
  
  Moving onto the food, the waitress Liz was attentive and professional, making sure that our tables dining experience was nothing less than exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the main course, every bite was a delight for our taste buds.
  
  The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the meal, from the impeccable service to the exquisite presentation of each dish. The dessert & espresso was the perfect ending to a perfect meal!
  
  Overall, I cannot recommend the Black Bass Hotel Restaurant highly enough. It truly deserves five stars for its exceptional ambiance, knowledgeable and friendly bar tenders, attentive and professional wait staff, and absolutely delicious food and dessert. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience.
