  For years I tried various diet programs with no luck. I have been very successful with Dr. Mannan. His program is straightforward and does not involve counting calories. He has provided a list of food that I can eat and another list that I cannot partake in. While there is a focus on weight loss, this in only one aspect of his approach. He is in favor of reducing dependence on medication and regulating blood levels to a normal range. Prior to starting his program I was in the pre-diabetic range. Now, after only 6 months I am no longer a pre-diabetic. The individual attention, coaching, and monitoring of my overall health have been superb. I am very satisfied with Dr. Mannan's services and I am confident I will reach my goal weight with his continued guidance.

  Dr. Mannan is fantastic. Thanks to his excellent advice, I'm really close to my goal weight. Best of all, my blood pressure is back to normal without medication! He's also very supportive and enthusiastic about my progress.

  Dr Mannan is a great Doctor. He spends his time with patients educating and teaching them. Vastly knowledgeable about nutrition and prevention. He helped me reverse my type 2 diabetes and lose weight. My a1c went from 8 to 6.7. We're still working and I have no doubt I will be well below 6 in a few months.

  If you’re looking for a direct physician-patient care WITHOUT the headaches of insurance and what’s covered and not covered and making multiple calls before you can see a doctor then Avicenna is for you! Dr. Mannan has really steam-lined the whole patient care experience and he really cares about what matters most, and that’s the health of his patients and getting them treatment right away!
  Two take aways:
  1. He was able to me see right away and diagnose my condition.
  2. I was able to get lab tests and even my MRI done the NEXT DAY!! And because I didn’t want to go through the nonsense of my insurance company and prior authorizations and delay my treatment, Dr. Mannan was able to negotiate for me the cheapest price for the MRI! I even had the results by the end of the day and further treatment plans schedule.

  I was looking for a doctor that would help me get better, not help me depend on medications. Dr. Mannan was that doctor. After years of struggling with my weight, feeling tired, and sick all the time, Dr. Mannan helped me to turn my life around. He taught me about nutrition and how it could help me live an optimum lifestyle. I don’t feel like I have a doctor but a partner in my health. It’s one thing to know what medicine to prescribe, but another to know how to get your patient off the medication.
