(April 15, 2022, 11:11 pm)I’ve seen Bernardino’s bread in grocery stores - meh, mush bread I call it, too soft, wrapped in plastic, which ruins bread. BUT.. buy it fresh at the bakery, and I think it’s the best bread outside of Boston or New York. I’ll be making regular trips here from CT. Just ask them to put it in a PAPER bag to maintain that beautiful crusty exterior that is the hallmark of a good Italian bread or baguette.

(April 11, 2022, 6:55 pm)I’ve been going here for years. I’ve never had a bad experience. Everyone is really friendly when you stop in. Best local bakery I've found in western ma. The custard cup and the Portuguese cornbread are my favorites.
