My parents moved to Bergen County Health Care Center about 3 years ago. The day they moved in I met a woman whose mother just passed away and she told me I made the right decision. We feel blessed to have found this place to care for our parents. My father passed away last year and the staff we very attentive and kind during this very difficult time. They understood immediately the need to move my mother to a cottage where she would have other widows to support her grieving. Since March when the Corona Virus hit they have communicated with us each week. The steps that they took to contain the virus worked. With most of the other nursing homes in NJ loosing many of their residents and staff to the virus, this place has come out of the worst of the recent outbreak with very few deaths and illnesses. I have no doubt that if we get a second wave of illness they will continue to care for their patients as they have been doing. We all have the deepest gratitude for the staff there. It is not an easy job, and managing the virus outbreak makes it all the more difficult.
