  My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer and went through difficult treatment that made her quite weak. When she was hospitalized for the 2nd time, the hospital recommended sending her to a facility thinking it would be too hard for us to care for her at home. Mom really wanted to be home so I contacted several care agencies in the area. Scott Parlee, the owner of Believe Home Care spent about an hour on the phone with me one evening explaining their services and what they could offer mom. He came to the hospital soon thereafter to speak with both of my parents. When we decided to use their services he made himself immediately available to come to our house to make sure we had everything we needed in place and to sign all the necessary paperwork. We were waiting for mom to be released and Scott’s team began arranging caregivers for the schedule upon which we decided. But then things began to worsen with mom’s condition. It seemed that every day we called Scott to ask for something different and everyday he did everything he could to accommodate us. We finally were able to bring mom home with all the care in place that we needed. When she died, one of the caregivers was right there with us helping make mom more comfortable. On the days and nights that I couldn’t be with my parents, I was able to read all the caregiver notes easily through the portal they set up. Scott and his team were highly flexible, very caring, responsive to all our texts and questions, and most importantly provided excellent caregivers who helped us take care of mom until the end, in our home as she wanted. We’re grateful and highly recommend them!

  A sincere thank you to Believe Home Care and our caretaker Fatou. My husband and I brought his mother home to our house to care for her during her cancer treatment and the task of caring for her and our 3 children was overwhelmingly to me.
  We thought that we would be helping my mother in law get strong and healthy for her next treatment.
  Fatou helped with all daily care of my mother in law as well as helped me with household chores- such as doing dishes, sweeping floors, and keeping our household running. My mother in law became bed ridden and with Fatou’s help we were able to keep caring for her in our home with her grandchildren present to keep her company. This was priceless to our family.
  With Fatou’s experience- she helped to recommend products to get for the care and comfort of my mother in law. We were so thankful to have her knowledge and her calm demeanor in our home during this difficult and overwhelming time. I don’t know how we would have managed without her!
  My mother in law was provided the wonderful gift of having her last few weeks with her family around her to love and care for her.
  Without Believe- we would not have been able to do that.
  Thankful for the caretaker that was chosen to help our family and for her presence until my mother in law passed to heaven. Fatou was truly a gift given to us to help during a difficult time. Thank you for the work that you do.

  I have a 93 year old mother-in-law living with us with early onset dementia, and she has limited mobility due to knees. Although Believe Home Care is a bit more expensive than other providers, it is by far the best choice we ever made. Each member of the team, from Scott the owner who is the first visit we received, to his wife Terry, a nurse who helped us with the initial personal care visits and developing a plan for the more permanent care giver, is extremely dedicated and professional. An important point for us, was to have the same care giver with each visit and for the care giver to not only be efficient and complete her duties but to do it with care and compassion. Kim her care giver is all of these. My mother-in-law is always first with Believe. Each visit is documented on a blog and shared with the team. Once a month at no additional charge a nurse calls to make a quick visit and evaluation. Another important point for us was to feel safe with our care givers visiting our home. In all aspects Believe has been professional, caring and compassionate of my mother-in-laws needs as well as our needs. We would recommend them highly. As a side note, it also wonderful dealing with a family run business who genuinely care about their business and the business of caring for their clients.
