  In April 2022 my father suffered from dysphasia due to a stroke, which severely affected his ability to speak and swallow. We tried several different speech/swallow therapists with little or no results. He was beginning to lose hope that he would ever regain any function. We were desperately researching any alternative therapies when we discovered NMES/VitalStim therapy. That’s when we contacted Kris at BE and we knew immediately that we made the right choice. He educated us how the device worked and the process that would be used to treat my father. We started to see results soon after beginning treatments. He went from not being able to swallow anything at all to being able to successfully swallow thickened liquids within a few treatments. He also regained some control over his vocal cords to where his ability to speak had noticeably improved. Our goal was to have Dad’s swallowing improve enough for him to join us at the Thanksgiving table, which was a couple of months away. Kris was careful not to make any promises but he committed to work with him as long as Dad was willing to put in the effort and practice his at-home exercises. Dad so looked forward to going to his sessions each week. He would always remind me the day before to make sure we shaved him. Through the grace of God and the amazing work of Kris and Dad, he was able to enjoy mashed potatoes with gravy on Thanksgiving. It was an incredible achievement and I had not seen my father so happy since his stroke. He continued to improve but unfortunately he suffered from numerous medical complications such as Covid, which prevented him from continuing his treatments. Dad is no longer with us but he was so grateful to Kris for helping him to regain his ability to speak and swallow but more importantly, for being such a good friend!

  I cannot even begin to explain how amazing Be Therapy Solutions is. My five year old son has been seeing Kris twice a week for speech and feeding therapy since September. In that time, my son has made amazing strides. He went from eating nothing substantial to eating pizza, Pb&j, noodles, cheese, meatballs, bananas. Kris developed session activities and rewards based around my son’s needs but also around his interests. He showed from the start how much he genuinely cares about his clients. On top of that, my sweet boy who isn’t understood by many aside from his older sister and his family, learned to say his own name! Kris makes every session fun and engaging. My son loves going and truly loves and has connected with Kris. I really feel Kris is a blessing to our family and I will sing his praises to anyone who will listen. If you go here for your child or yourself, I promise you, you will not regret it.

  We had an amazing experience with BE therapy solutions! Kelly was great and my daughter truly enjoyed these sessions. We signed her up over the summer months just to keep engaged with the speech classes as she gets support through her school and couldn't be happier with this find! They were very flexible with our time and kept my daughter's needs in mind. Kelly has an amazing energy and connected with my daughter the very first session. She took her time and engaged my daughter by incorporating her summer events which made each session very personable. She reviewed and worked on multiple concepts that my daughter struggles with. If your child needs help with speech and you want to have them learn in a fun setting that feels like a chore this is the place!
