  Justin is so great with kids and had my 7 year old giggling the whole time. His hair looks great! He even added a lightning bolt, per my son's request

  Moved to the area late last year. Let the hair grow quite a bit over the next six months. Got my first cut in mid May and my second this past week. Outstanding !! Kyle did a great job on the last one.
  Charming shop with lots of olde style barbershop signs and decor. Located in the quiet little town of Pine Plains. This will be my go to barber from now on.

  This is one of my go to places for a haircut. I've been a repeat customer for a couple years now. Mel is always very helpful and knows the best way to style my often uncooperative hair. It's the personal service and the historic vibe that really set them apart. Walking inside you might think you've stepped back in time. If you're a Pine Plains local, or visiting the area, this is the place to get your hair cut, beard trimmed, or even shaved. Would highly recommend.

  First time there, and had a great hair cut. Perfect blend of scissor work and buzzer, just what I was looking for. Unique place, worth the drive, definitely coming back.

  I took my son to The Shoppe for a haircut yesterday. My son is a teenager, and especially particular about his haircuts, It's really hard to get it the way he wants, especially since he's not always sure how to achieve it, or even really describe it. Justin conversed with him the whole time (with a great sense of humor), and worked out exactly what he wanted. At one point he asked my son a question, and my son said, "I'm not sure, whichever you think is better." Justin ( I gather from the other interviews that that's the owner's name) said, "My job is to get it the way you want it, not the way I think it should be." My son walked out delighted with his cut. And the shop is really cool--antique barber's chairs, tons of old signs to check out, and Kairos, Justin's friendly pug, made my wait a pleasure.
