  The desserts that Arlene for mine and my husbands wedding were so delicious and beautiful! All the guests were raving about the cupcakes, trying one of each flavor. We were thrilled with the whole process of tasting and working with Arlene on deciding which flavors to choose. We would 100% recommend Banana Moon!

  My husband and I loved working with Arlene for the desserts for our wedding celebration. One of our key themes for our wedding was bourbon and Arlene knocked it out of the park with our maple bourbon semi-naked cake. Our guests were amazed by the variety of the huge spread of cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and bars. We are still thinking about the coffee cake three months later! Arlene was so helpful, flexible, and professional. We highly recommend working with her for your event if you get the chance!

  Arlene created a beautiful custom black cake for my handfasting/wedding in September, for 100 guests. She was great to collaborate with, was very down to earth and also very professional, and totally nailed the briefing for what I wanted while also giving great suggestions and helpful feedback about my ideas/flavors. She was good at communicating throughout the process on timeline, delivery, very reasonable pricing, etc. We emailed back and forth which was my preference. Even though she was very busy she was responsive to all my questions. We came up with a Black tea infused cake with local black cherries and black coa coa frosting. It was so delicious and I loved that she makes everything using natural ingredients!! However, about half way through my dinner, the four tier cake was slanting VERY HARD and launched my mom and caterer and wedding coordinator into panic that it really was going to fall over. The caterer insisted that it should have been wooden dowels in the base of the cake, instead of the plastic straws she used in the base. All was hurried and saved and the cake did not actually fall over. Just a lot of comotion and we didnt really get the normal cutting the cake experience because of this unfortunately.... Even despite all of this, I would still reccomend Banana Moon and Arlene's services. I wanted a special unique cake and there is no denying my cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious.

  Arlene is an expert baker and created the most beautiful cake for our 24 guests! We tasted at least 6 different cake options prior to settling on our choice, but had the hardest time choosing because they were all so delicious! We also ordered cookies, tarts, and mini cheesecakes for our wedding weekend as well. One guest described the chocolate chip cookie as "the best cookie she has had in her entire life". We couldn't be happier with the cake and treats, thank you Arlene!
